Description

This is very commonly used rangoli pattern from South India. It is unending and is meant to capture any evil spirit which tries to enter your home. The evil spirit gets attracted by this design, enters it and cannot come out of it! It is usually drawn with a paste of rice flour outside the front entrance of the home.

I have used the burnt sienna shades to capture the colour of soil in South India besides the white colour for the rice powder. I have repeated the kolam nine times to represent the 9 grahas, which are placed amongst 16 bindus and 3 dynamic squares.

This meditation is meant to create an auspicious sentiment. Placed near your front door will allow you to keep all evil vibrations coming from any direction from any of the 9 planets out of your home, and keep peace in your home.
